Ancient Egypt Overview
This unit will last approximately 4 weeks.
In this unit, students will begin an exploration into one of the earliest human civilizations in Africa, ancient Egypt. During this time, students will focus their attention on the core concepts of: geography, government, economics, history, and society as it relates to ancient Egypt. Through hands-on learning and various projects and simulations, students will internalize and document how the developments and achievements of the ancient Egyptians not only impacted the various cultural traditions of Africa, the Middles East, and the Mediterranean, but how we are still influenced by these achievements today.
