Introduction to Social Studies
Social studies in comprised of a variety of different disciplines. During this unit of study, students will explore various topics such as geography, economics, political science, archaeology, anthropology, and of course, history. Students will be engaged in many hands-on projects during this unit including: 1.) the development of a personal narrative history of their own lives, 2.) development and creation of a personal timeline of their lives, 3.) analysis historical and archaeological sites throughout the world, and 4.) participation in a hands-on archaeological dig.
