Today, students worked on applying their knowledge of absolute location to real life locations throughout the world. In groups, students competed to find the specific city when given the exact latitude and longitude, and then turned things around and had to find the exact latitude and longitude when given a specific city. Students were also given permission slips to take home and have signed over the weekend. These permission slips are for our trip to the Chanute Air Museum in Rantoul. Our field trip is Thursday, September 12, 2013, and students will be going to view a traveling exhibit about the Tuskegee Airmen.
